Panel — Marketing Your Mystery, Indiana Author Fair, Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, Saturday, September 29,2012, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Suzanne Harding, Terence Faherty, and I will be doing a panel called MARKETING YOUR MYSTERY. If you’re a writer and you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers … of sorts. The publishing business is a fluid one these days. Marketing your mystery is tricky and what works for one person doesn’t work for another. So whether your mystery is in manuscript form and you’re marketing to traditional agents and editors, or whether you have a book out and you’re trying to market it to readers, or whether you’ve had it with traditional routes and you’re thinking of self-publishing and wondering how to market in that environment, we’ve got ideas. The three of us are navigating through this brave new world, and we’re willing to share our experiences. Come be a part of our discussion!

Magna Cum Murder, Muncie, Indiana, Friday, October 26 through Sunday, October 28

Magna cum Murder is a great little convention that I had to miss last year, but am looking forward to being back this year. It’s a wonderful  place to interact with fans and authors, intimate enough that you can meet everyone, including Guest of Honor S.J. Rozan (who is a warm and witty person as well as a great author). If you’ve never been to a murder mystery convention before, I highly recommend this one.
